2010 DIGITAL SIGNAGE AND KIOSK SPRING SHOWS FOCUS ON INNOVATIVE CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT STRATEGIES AND SOLUTIONS

Popular Conference Programs Return as Leading Industry Event Continues to Deliver Valuable Business Strategies

TRUMBULL, CT (March 1, 2010)KioskCom Self Service Expo and The Digital Signage Show have long been recognized as the defining event to explore strategic marketing and technical business solutions for organizations focused on enhancing their customer engagement programs through digital media such as kiosks, digital signage, self-service, digital out-of-home/place-based media and other customer-facing technologies.   This year’s spring show, taking place April 14 -15, 2010 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, will continue a 14 year tradition of furthering the growth of kiosk and digital signage deployments and education.  Attendees will benefit from event sessions and features that are returning by popular demand, as well as new, innovative elements that are sure to enrich the event experience.

Why Attend
Developed to help businesses improve and plan for their customer engagement technology initiatives, KioskCom Self Service Expo and The Digital Signage Show offer targeted sessions, industry-leading speakers and in-depth forums in tracks focused on customer engagement strategies, business strategies, Digital Out of Home (DOOH), IT / technology and operations and deployment logistics, among many other technology solutions.

New to this year’s event is the Social Sphere, a social media lounge where attendees can receive a tutorial or quick brush-up on the ins and outs of tools like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, and learn how these social media sites offer another avenue to engage customers and grow business opportunities.  Social Sphere will also feature the Bloggers Zone – a newsroom for leading bloggers to post their observations and experiences from the events in real time.   The Bloggers Zone is being presented by DailyDOOH.

“Our goal is to continue to provide customer engagement strategies and the technology solutions that enable businesses to stand apart from their competitors while reducing costs and improving efficiency,” said Lawrence Dvorchik, General Manager of The Digital Signage Show and KioskCom Self Service Expo.  “Through educational sessions with industry experts and unlimited opportunities to share knowledge with industry elite, this year’s shows will focus on how businesses can find innovative ways to connect with their customers digitally and achieve the ROI they have established.”

What to Expect
All attendees at The Digital Signage Show & KioskCom are welcome to attend a special keynote presentation to be given by Jo Ann Jenkins, Chief Operating Officer, Library of Congress on Thursday, April 15 at 9:00am.  Jenkins will discuss in-depth the "Library of Congress Experience (LCE)."  Through interactive touch screens, LCE allows visitors unique experiences like turning the pages of books from Thomas Jefferson's library and investigating edits made in the rough draft of the Declaration of Independence.

New to the Las Vegas event, after a groundbreaking debut in New York last year is, “Cooking Up Content: From Concept to Screen” presented by Harris, which outlines the best practices for a complete content strategy, composition & presentation process for a Digital Out-Of-Home (DOOH) campaign.  This two-day feature event is presented in three chapters during The Digital Signage Show and KioskCom, April 14-15, 2010.

Also back by popular demand is the Fourth Annual Customer Engagement Technology Summit, which allows attendees to openly discuss the top issues facing their organization and deployments while learning from industry colleagues how to improve, expand or add to the current customer engagement technology program.  The Customer Engagement Summit is led by Janet Webster & Paul Flanigan, two industry leaders who have spent years on the end-user side of the aisle.  Additionally, Digital Signage training is offered through the “SPEED” Digital Signage Project Training Program on Tuesday, April 13, 2010.  SPEED is led by Lyle Bunn, who is a noted Digital Signage Specialist and industry leader, as well as the author of the training program.  SPEED has been approved for Certified Technology Professional (CTS) professional certification Renewal Unit (RUs) credits.

Attendees also can take part in a new addition to the conference, the Guided Kiosk & Self-Service Expert Tours.  These tours, presented by St. Clair Interactive Communications, provide attendees with a semi-private tour experience in the exhibit hall focusing on specific self-service applications and components.  Tours focus on giving participants an introductory overview of the show floor, a brand recognition tour, a profitability / ROI-focused tour, a tour that focuses on special requirements for touchscreen self-service, and a “last minute tour,” designed to help attendees who still have questions get the answers they are looking for before the show draws to a close.

Additionally, this year, the Strategy Institute's Digital Content Strategies Summit, National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show and Specialty Retail Entrepreneur Expo & Conference (SPREE) also are all taking place during the KioskCom Self Service Expo and The Digital Signage Show, giving attendees further opportunities to take advantage of their time in Las Vegas.

Having recently been named by Tradeshow Week as one of the 50 Fastest Growing Trade Shows in North America for the fourth time, KioskCom Self Service Expo and The Digital Signage Show have continued their reputation as the most critical, strategic, largest and longest running conference and tradeshow for kiosks, self service and digital out-of-home (DOOH) media and technology worldwide.  The expo has maintained more than a decade of success by delivering critical content and strategies to ensure deployment success directly from end-user companies that utilize these technologies within their organizations.
