Joel Davis President & CEO
Prior to founding JD Events in January of 2002, Joel spent 16 years as a senior executive in the tradeshow and conference industry. He began his event management career as a sales executive in 1986 with Reed Exhibition Companies and rose to the position of Industry Vice President. He left Reed in 1996 to serve as President of Primedia/Intertec Exhibitions (now Penton Media), and subsequently served as President and COO of eMarketWorld and Vice President/General Manager of Imark Communications. Joel has a genuine passion for the events business and a deeply held belief in the value of face-to-face marketing. He has been a member of the Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO) since 1996 and has served on the SISO Executive Committee.

Dawn Jeffrey General Manager
Dawn's career in "Show Business" started over 20 years ago at Reed Exhibition Companies where she headed up the Database Marketing Department and implemented customer loyalty programs for over 30 Trade Shows and Conferences in the portfolio. She joined Intertec Exhibitions in 1996 to become Group Show Director of six marketing events. Dawn joins JD Events with extensive experience in P&L management, marketing, sales, registration, operations, acquisition implementation and procedural/process management.

Lou Mancini VP, Operations
Lou started his publishing/trade show career 12 years ago at Cowles Business Media (now known as Penton), a producer of business to business magazines, newsletters and trade shows as a financial manager and then joined the trade show team as General Manager. Other stops in his career include eMarketWorld as Vice-President of Operations, PBI Media (Access Intelligence) where he was Director of Operations-Worldwide in 2001 and Radius Events where he was Vice President-Operations.

Joelle Coretti VP, Marketing & Strategic Partnerships
Joelle develops and oversees all marketing and media relations for JD Events' portfolio of conferences and trade shows. Her areas of expertise include direct marketing campaign development and management, email and interactive marketing, special events and strategic relationships with industry organizations and publications. Joelle is also responsible for the online presence of all of JD Events’ brands and has launched various social media initiatives for each event. Joelle has been in event marketing management in the trade show/media business for more than 15 years, previously with PROMO Magazine, the New Haven Coliseum, Primedia, and Imark Communications.

 



Mark Freed VP Sales & Business Development, Customer Engagement Technology World, featuring KioskCom & The Digital Signage Show
Before joining KioskCom in 2005, Mark was Sales Director for AD:TECH from December of 1999 and played a vital role in strengthening AD:TECH's global identity as being the #1 event on interactive advertising and marketing. Mark was previously in magazine publishing sales at Intertec Publishing, working for CATALOG AGE and DIRECT, and he was the leader in successfully launching 1TO1 Magazine in partnership with Peppers and Rogers and several other new products, including special industry supplements and online newsletters. He began his career in video communications, producing promotional and educational programming for such clients as BusinessWeek, INC. Magazine, Tiffany & Co., Canon USA, Inc., Steinway & Sons, Christian Dior and Elizabeth Arden.

Michael Driscoll VP Business Development & Event Director, Content & Communications World, CCW, including HD World, SATCON and 3D World
Michael Driscoll joined JD Events in 2003 when he assumed management of the SATCON event which debuted in New York a few months earlier. Under Michael’s direction, SATCON has grown by over 400% and become a major industry brand. In 2005, Michael invented the concept and launched the HD World Conference & Exposition, which is co-located with SATCON. In 2009 Michael initiated rebranding of the event, now named Content & Communications World, CCW which includes SATCON, HD World, and new in 2010, 3D World. Michael is a veteran trade show and conference executive with over 25 years experience delivering powerful audiences to leading technology firms. His expertise includes sales, marketing, audience acquisition, content development, speaker recruitment and building relationships with new alliances. Mike began his career in 1985 with a five year stint at Reed Exhibitions. He then co-launched Comtek International, which grew to a $30 million company in eight years, where he launched and produced the largest and most successful technology exhibitions in Russia and Eastern Europe. In 1998 Michael returned to the US market where he successfully launched and managed several events for iMark, CMP Media, and Reed Exhibitions before joining JD Events. Michael’s motto is "make it happen," and delivering quality audiences to exhibitors is his passion.

Brian Sullivan General Manager, SATCON
Brian began his tradeshow career at Reed Exhibition Companies in 1988 and worked on some of the largest trade events in North America, including the National Hardware Show. Promoted to International Manager in 1990, Brian coordinated sales efforts on North American events from the Reed International offices. In 1994, Brian launched Great American Exhibition, an event management company with a portfolio of wholly owned trade shows as well as providing consulting and show management services to other companies and associations. He is responsible for the development of the SATCON show concept.

Jenabeth Ferguson Event Director, Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo
Jenabeth joined JD Events in 2005 to head up the Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo. She provides strategic direction on the formulation and execution of the event as well as drives the education content of each program. Jenabeth brings nearly 15 years of diverse tradeshow experience having worked in the client and vendor communities. Prior to joining JD Events, she was with Convention Data Services as an Account Executive where she managed accounts producing events such as Comdex, MacWorld and AD:TECH. Jenabeth started her career with Imark Communications serving as the Registration Manager of Global events including the Symposium on Healthcare Design which is now known as the Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo.


Lawrence Dvorchik General Manager, Customer Engagement Technology World, featuring KioskCom & The Digital Signage Show
Lawrence Dvorchik was involved with the creation of KioskCom in 1998, and has been leading the growth of the event into the world’s largest kiosk self-service event and migrating into Customer Engagement Technology World in 2010. Under his leadership and direction, KioskCom Self-Service Expo became a 4-time winner of the prestigious Tradeshow Week Fastest 50 Award, honoring the fastest growing tradeshows in North America. Lawrence has been responsible for the launch of the KioskCom events worldwide, as well as the Kiosk & Self-Service Excellence Awards, Cooking Up Content: From Strategy to Screen demonstration and the KioskCom Professional Society. Lawrence joined JDE in 2005.

Nancy Jo Hauck Vice President, Business Development, Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo
Nancy Jo joined JD Events in April 2006, and has been successfully growing both the Healthcare Facilities Symposium and the School & College Building events. Under her leadership, she has grown both properties by identifying industry growth segments, help re-position and brand both events and establishing key industry relationships to drive the success of these events. She was a awarded Tradeshow Week's - Fastest 50 Award in 2007. Prior to starting at JD Events, Nancy Jo was a Partner and VP of Sales and Business Development at Infinity Expo Group where she was responsible for managing the sales department, training, and leading the launch events by implementing winning sales strategies, sponsorship programs and by forming and cultivating publication and association relationships. Nancy Jo was also Director of Business Development for three years at Reed Exhibitions North America where she successfully launched events in the spa and resort arena as well as the technology marketplace.

David Reynolds Event Director, SATCON
Dave joined JD Events in 2007, and has 16 years experience in the trade show and conference industry. He started his trade show career as a sales executive with Comtek International where he received several promotions and became Group Vice President in-charge of several international trade shows in Europe ranging from broadcasting to consumer electronics. Dave previously worked as Director of Business Development on US trade shows for Reed Exhibition Companies, the world’s largest producer of trade shows.


Liz Miller Content & Marketing Director
Liz started her trade show career as an Event Coordinator at JD Events in May 2005.  Since then she has managed the conference programs for SATCON, Content & Communications World, and Customer Engagement Technology World.  She continuously strives to improve the education offered at events through developing relevant and creative conference program.  Starting in 2010 Liz expanded her role into marketing the Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo.  She is responsible for marketing campaign development and strategic partnerships with industry organization.  Liz is a graduate of the University of Connecticut where she majored in marketing.  She is also an avid baker, a ski coach for Special Olympics and a roller coaster enthusiast.


Melissa Harrington Tradeshow Coordinator
Melissa joined JD Events in January 2010 with a degree in Communications from East Carolina University. Melissa’s interest in the trade shows and events began at ECU when she held an internship with the University working for the Coordinator of Centennial Events. As an intern, Melissa gained experience in event management. Specifically, she created and managed volunteer programs, maintained ECU’s Centennial website and helped execute various events during the Centennial year.
At JD Events, Melissa's primary responsibilities are exhibitor communications, website development and maintenance, customer service and assisting marketing, operations and sales. 

Taylor Currie Marketing Assistant
Taylor is the newest addition to the JD Events team, joining in Feburary 2011.  She recently graduated from The College of Saint Rose where she majored in Music Industry.  Taylor has a background in artist/event management.  At JD Events, Taylor's primary responsibilities are attendee communications, web site development and maintenance, customer service and office support.
